- Rudolf: Who are those people who ride the HSL to Shanghai? That's the rich elite. What is the benefit to ordinary Thais of this very expensive project?

Dutchman (46) arrested with expired visa, not allowed to enter Thailand for 5 years
A 46-year-old Dutchman, Alexander de R, was arrested on Monday while walking just outside Big Trees Village, a resort on Koh Samui. The Immigration Police checked his passport and found that his visa had expired on July 21 this year.
Immigration Police Chief Pol Col Supparuek Phankosol said Mr R. entered Thailand through the Tak Bai district of Narathiwat province and was given a stamp allowing him to stay until July 20. He will be deported from Thailand and banned for 5 years.
On Sunday, a 35-year-old Nigerian riding a motorcycle was arrested on Koh Phangan for an overstay. During a house search, the Nigerian was found to be hiding six bags of 10 grams of cocaine and 34.000 baht in cash. The man was transferred to Koh Phangan police station and charged with illegal residence in the country and possession of illegal narcotics.
The Immigration Bureau has asked the police to actively search for and deport foreign overstayers on the islands of Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao.

Plus a hefty fine I suspect.
Three months and a week overstay, how much would that be in Bahts?
20 000 Baht is the maximum.
Max 20.000 Baht
Yes, I also had by not looking at the passport, but only keeping an eye on the three-month rule
Had to go away for a year and pay 20.000 in the Airport, but the Immigration guy didn't say anything.
And not keeping me stupid is the best, also no stamp in the passport
After consultation with Ronny, who had to have all my passport pages, he said you were lucky.
I went to The Hague again, my Thai friend still worked there, so you will go to Thailand again
I said yes if you give me a Visa, I filled in all the papers and was back in Thailand within 6 months
Good service from Ronny thanks again
Gr Aloysius
Think that if the government would go through eg Pattaya with a dust comb, they will really find about a fly load with overstay.
I myself know, for example, a Polish-German who has had 'overstay' for more than 8 years. Doesn't want to go back to 'wirschijn das' Merkel because he still has a few years of free accommodation credit there. Currently in a relationship with a Thai lady from the 'higher' circles, so I suspect he has a special arrangement now.
Dear,
Immigration saying is.
Good guys in, bad guys out.
Rightly so.
And what if this overstayer does not have that much money but can survive on 40.000 or 50.000 per month, which he does have but is therefore unable to arrange his extension? And the criminal has plenty of money thanks to his criminal earnings and therefore meets the requirements of Immigration? So don't just shout something, but think first.
I agree. Behind every great fortune there is usually an equally great crime. By the way, what is the definition of a good or a bad guy? Who doesn't actually have butter on their head?
