FIFA's Ethics Committee has suspended yet another senior official. Worawi Makudi, the 63-year-old president of the Football Association of Thailand, was suspended for XNUMX days.

Worawi served on the FIFA Executive Committee from 1997 to May this year. The man allegedly violated ethical codes during the allocation of the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, the FIFA commission reported. After an investigation, the association has decided to ban him from football for the time being.

Makudi is prohibited from performing any football-related activities for XNUMX days. Earlier, FIFA boss Sepp Blatter, his right-hand man Jérôme Valcke and UEFA president Michel Platini were suspended by the ethics committee.

I have been following the football club here in Chiangmai for several years and you see how my club is run.
A few years ago we also saw how competitions were arranged among themselves.
Unfortunately, at the moment we see that many people of feel ball unions can be bribed with money so why not him.

The entire Asian football system is as corrupt as it is old, whether you go to Vietnam or Thailand to see corrupt management, bribed players / referees it must be the order of the day. Some difference compared to Europe in Asia people are not used to better and Europe still has to get used to the fact that all this also happens in that neat civilized Europe.

Don't understand anything about it, had just expected that just that one Thai bobo was not involved in corrupt practices because corruption does not or hardly occur in Thailand.
It must therefore turn out to be a misunderstanding, there is no other way. 😉

My Thai colleagues (hardened football fans) have been complaining for years about this man's corrupt practices.

Not a surprising message in itself. They are strong shoes that can carry the wealth. The temptations are too strong for many not to take advantage of. It is good that this man is now being dealt with, because I assume that with these kinds of measures people are reasonably sure of the corruption case. Let's wait and see who will be next on the list.
