A double-decker tour bus that veered off the road on a sharp bend yesterday and hit a concrete column took the lives of seven Thai tourists and the driver of the bus. 28 people were injured, of which 19 were seriously injured.

The accident at Si Sawat in Kanchanaburi happened on a notorious road. Residents in the area call it the "bend of a hundred corpses".

Rescuers struggled to get all the dead and injured off the bus. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital.

The police investigation revealed that the passengers on the bus were employees of W & H Film Co of Krathum who were on a day trip to Si Sawat in Kanchanaburi. The accident happened on the return journey.

Police believe the driver did not know the route well and lost control of the bus in the sharp bend.

Condolences to all bereaved and injured persons, very sad after a day out.
But if I look at the underside and the construction of the bus, it is already tens of years old.
Maybe a bit rickety on its body so difficult in the corner?

If you go too fast through such a bend with a double decker. Then he rolls on his side. The age of the bus has no influence on this. Condolences to the bereaved and victims.

Quick judgement, Joe. These kinds of stories are irresponsible without knowledge.
    with fr.gr., Theo.

My condolences to the bereaved family.
