Thailand's cabinet has approved a budget of 2,28 billion baht to repair roads and other infrastructure destroyed by two tropical storms last month. It concerns 218 roads and infrastructure in 24 provinces in the North and Northeast.

Of the amount, 1,37 billion baht will go to the Highways Department to make 125 repairs. For example, 5 bridges have to be repaired and one bridge has to be completely rebuilt. The Rural Roads Department will receive 908 million baht for the repair of roads, bridges and the like, including a water drainage project and an erosion control project.

The RID has announced that the water level in the Moon River in Ubon Ratchathani has returned to normal, but the Council of Engineers Thailand is warning residents of the hard-hit province to be careful. accidents can still happen when the water recedes. Residents are advised to disconnect electricity and check roof and windows for cracks.
