The Japanese who would be the father of the nine baby carriers found on Tuesday left the country in a hurry on Wednesday night. According to his lawyer, he would be the father of fourteen babies, three of which were sent to Japan.

The investigation into the 24-year-old man is now focusing on whether he is guilty of human trafficking, because he has been spotted twice on Suvarnabhumi with a baby in his arms. Both times he traveled to Cambodia. Since 2012, he has traveled to Thailand 65 times. The man has a Cambodian passport, which is not uncommon among Japanese people, as Japanese investors in Cambodia can obtain a Cambodian passport.

The police are looking for the surrogate mothers of the nine babies to check whether they, as well as the clinics where the IVF treatments took place, knew about the destination of the children. In that case, they are complicit in human trafficking. The police are also looking for a Japanese woman who worked for the Japanese in the condominium where the babies were found. The babies will be given a DNA test to verify the lawyer's paternity claim.

The Department of Health Survice Support closed a clinic on Ploenchit Road yesterday. Not that difficult because the clinic was deserted (photo home page). The pregnant woman was treated at the clinic, who was also found on Tuesday with the babies and their caregivers in a condominium in Bangkok.

The clinic had already been inspected on Tuesday, but continued to operate even though it did not have the required permits. The clinic is located in the Sivatel hotel; there is a second clinic on another floor, but it is legal.
