Jakrapob Penkair, the fugitive ex-minister accused of lèse-majesté, challenges the junta to produce proof that he has something to do with the weapons found. The accusation is fiction, he says from an unknown whereabouts.

Arrest warrants have been issued against Jakrapob and four others by court-martial; in Jakrakpob's case, that would open the way to seeking extradition from the country where he resides. Lèse majesté is not serious enough for that. Jakrapob defends himself in a statement, published on Saturday asiaprovocateur.blogspot.com. He was recently spotted in Hong Kong.

“The accusations leveled against me by Thailand's illegitimate coup regime once again demonstrate the desperation of the generals and the establishment they represent. The false claim that I am behind some armed element is not only fiction but also yet another example of the injudiciousness of the fraudulent junta.'

Jakrapob, red shirt leader and co-founder of the anti-coup Organization of Free Thais for Human Rights and Democracy, founded last week, calls the claim so flimsy that it can be quickly brushed aside in a proper cross-examination. Witnesses allegedly mentioned his involvement.

On the claim that the new charge allows for extradition, Jakrapob says no government in the world would succumb to their [the junta's] threats and that "I will have full access to the evidence they fabricated." [Enigmatic wording or misquoted by the newspaper. He probably means: not allowed access.]

Jakrapob puts it plainly again: “I am not involved in any form of “armed” struggle. I strongly believe in a political, social and cultural struggle, secured in reality by the democratic will of the Thai people.'

Jakrapob also lashes out at the intention to revoke his passport. "That would be further proof to the international community that the junta is nothing more than a bunch of petulant tyrants who operate far beyond the norms of international law."

Somyos Pumpanmuang, head of the national police, has said that he will ask the Attorney General's Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to jointly approach Hong Kong and request Jakrapob's extradition.

It is incomprehensible that the government of HK is being approached for extradition if no one in Thailand knows where he is? Typical BP news again. Also strange, that Jakropob is hiding, if he has done nothing wrong? Even stranger that he reacts, as if bitten by the snake with a lot of words, when it is about nothing (according to him)?. He or them, who all have such good intentions for the Thai population, are all hiding or hiding abroad. A strange club of visionists and gossip makers.

The article states that he has been spotted in Hong Kong.
And furthermore, I would also deny everything if I were wanted by the junta.
And I would certainly make sure I was abroad.

It turns out that in a military dictatorship obtaining evidence for alleged crimes is easy . With such a rampage, the only possible option is to flee and wait. No decent country will extradite him for such allegations!

Please indicate the source, from which it proceeds, that the military are wrong and where you read that all allegations are lies?. And also the reason why someone flees abroad, if he has a clean shirt in Thailand?.

Apparently you are not really aware of the situation in Thailand.
The military regime is clearly looking for a reason what Mr. Jakrapob could have done to get him extradited, with only lèse-majeste that will not work - because in Thailand you are soon guilty of that!
Do you think Mr Jakrapob would get a fair chance if he had stayed in Thailand? That has its major merits
        predecessor Taksin hadn't had either!
Why are almost only red shirts summoned or summoned to appear and not or hardly any yellow shirts or supporters . Just look at the comical behavior of Suteph, who has committed a real crime - with or without the support of the generals.
Shutting down Bangkok for six months, letting the economy collapse, not to mention the number of tourists that still visit Thailand, that has never been so bad!
You always have to wait and see what Thailand gets in return, although reducing corruption is a very commendable initiative by the junta.
