Did a drama unfold on Saturday night on the overnight train from Nakhon Si Thammarat to Bangkok? Police forces along the line and the railways have launched a large-scale search for 13-year-old Kaem, who is missing. Bangkok Post today opens the newspaper with the missing person.

The railway police are watching footage from surveillance cameras, railway employees are exploring the route on work trolleys and the passenger list is being viewed. Bangkok Municipal Police and forensic personnel have joined the Railway Police investigation.

The police are considering all possibilities: the girl may have left the train voluntarily, but there may also be something suspicious, said Wiset Ketphan, Deputy Chief of the Railway Police Division.

The four railway employees who were on duty in the carriage where Kaem slept were questioned and sent to the Police General Hospital for a physical examination. One of them had scratches on his body, which he allegedly received while loading cargo.

Kaem, a Mathayom 2 student in Nonthaburi, traveled with her older sister Kanala (22), her boyfriend and a younger sister. They slept in a second-class carriage, Kaem in the bottom bunk. Kanala discovered that Kaem was not there around XNUMX:XNUMX am when the train reached Nakhon Pathom. Her backpack was missing, the bed was in disarray. A search on the train turned up nothing.

It is not entirely clear where Kaem disappeared, possibly as the train passed through Ratchaburi. The girls had boarded in Phun Phin (Surat Thani). The head of the railway police in Hua Hin says the signal from the girl's cellphone has been traced to Cha-Am.

The owner of a restaurant in Cha-Am has stated that he saw a girl who matched Kaem's description in his restaurant. She was in the company of a man.

State Railway of Thailand Governor Prapat Chongsanguan says he will improve security measures. In the short term, cameras will be installed in trains and at stations.

In the meantime, the remains of the girl have been found next to the rails; raped and murdered. Tragic.

The 22-year-old killer has also been arrested, the perpetrator seems to have used a lot of drugs and alcohol before his act. He lifted the girl out of bed and then raped, killed and threw her off the train.

Just beastly to rape and kill such an innocent girl.

If I could pass justice, life imprisonment, no capital punishment would be too easy,
then he is also rid of it, no let it suffer as long as possible.
