An accident on Children's Day in Thailand. A fighter jet crashed during a Royal Thai Air Force flying demonstration in the southern city of Hat Yai. The pilot was killed but no one else was injured.

The JAS 39 Gripen showed a flying maneuver and then suddenly lost altitude, crashed and exploded. The 34-year-old pilot, Capt. Dilokrit Patawee, failed to use his ejection seat and was killed.

Fire trucks rush to the scene of the crash. There were no further injuries.

And the fire truck from the airport fully met the expectations of Thai road users: it overturned on the way.

T Is terrible again. But I see something different. Is that a DC3 I see at this airport??

    Thanks for answer

That is indeed a DC 3.

Possibly the 46158 Basler BT-67 (DC-3) Royal Thai Air Force.

And probably also replace the ejection seat with a simpler one!
    R.I.P.

No time to use ejection seat.

I've seen the maneuver. The pilot lost control or there was a defect in the flight controls. That old ejection seat crap makes no sense.
By the way, there are more crashes where the pilot does not jump so as not to drop the aircraft uncontrollably somewhere in a busy area.

The plane performs a roll, which goes wrong in half (when the plane is on its back!). The pilot cannot then eject unless the seat has a self-erect mechanism, which means that the seat straightens itself after ejection, and then rises. However, the aircraft is already too low for this maneuver, and you see that the pilot first tries to roll over, but apparently does not have enough time for this.
    RIP

Another option is that the pilot could not bear any loss of face because he had crashed his fighter jet. And that's why he didn't use the ejection seat to save himself, if you know how Thais feel about losing face, I think this is definitely an option to consider. Although the Thai themselves will not confirm that so quickly.
