Armed robbery of wealthy Chinese in Pattaya
In the Nongprue district of Pattaya, the extremely luxurious Siam Royal View resort with security guards is located on Soi Khao Talo. The houses are built at different heights so that an optimal view can be enjoyed. On Monday evening, a gang of 5 men managed to evade security and attacked two Chinese, 38-year-old Su Chi Hong and 31-year-old Su Long Chang, and forced them to open the safe at gunpoint.
Cash and valuables were stolen from the safe. Initially it would be 10 million baht, but later this was estimated at 3 million baht. The police questioned the Chinese residents with the help of interpreters because they did not speak Thai.
It is now hoped to support the investigation with surveillance cameras, because so far every trace is missing. It is not known whether the robbers are Thai or foreigners. The park is difficult to access due to its hilly location. How these robbers were able to organize this robbery remains a question mark in itself, as well as the fact that they would have been aware of a safe with contents.
The police investigation is still ongoing.

The police say they will initially concentrate on the two robbed Chinese themselves, because they seem to have a completely spotless reputation.
The "crime experts" of Thaivisa know what to do with that, especially read the reactions

Problem (almost) solved
a not entirely flawless eputation of course!
Bypass surveillance? If guards are lying disinterestedly dozing somewhere in Thailand, it is at the gates of such projects. It's as leaky as a basket here and there. And the case itself: we hear whether it is all pure coffee…..
I don't entirely agree with you though.
You really can't get in at our moo job, unless you have a registered pass.
The men and women of security do their work and don't have time for a nap, except perhaps during the night hours. Every visitor is accompanied to the house where they need to go, where they can do their business or visit and have a note stamped upon departure. Upon arrival, they have to hand in their driver's license or ID and they will get that back when they hand in the stamped visitor's pass.
This is arranged in most moo courses.
Bert, those are the safe and better resorts where the residents are willing to pay extra; guards who take you to the right house is really not common everywhere, neither is registration. Usually it is enough to 'wave' and then you can continue, especially if they see a blond quiff approaching.
You should be happy with the strict security! That's at the hotel level.
I am convinced that they will not just let young Thai guys through. In that respect, we old Farangs may have an advantage.
Graying farangs, woman or man, can also enter our condominium without any problems. Thai girls and boys or adults must leave their ID.
