The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is warning the population along the Chao Phraya River to take into account flooding and flooding from today until next Tuesday. This also applies to nine provinces in the central region. The warning is due to expected rainfall and the water discharge from the Pasak Jolasid dam.

The Meteorological Department also predicts heavy rainfall in the lower central region. Bangkok Governor Aswin Kwanmuang says authorities are monitoring the situation, especially in low-lying areas along Bangkok's Chao Phraya River.

He warned the Bangkok communities along the Chao Phraya River, Klong Bangkok Noi and Klong Mahasawat to prepare for flooding in the coming days. There are a total of 239 households in 11 communities located in Bang Sue, Dusit, Phra Nakhon, Samphanthawong, Bang Kho Laem, Yannawa, Klong Toey, Bangkok Noi and Klong San districts.

Residents are advised to move their belongings to an elevated area to avoid damage caused by rising water levels.

Samroeng Saenphuwong is warning the population in nine provinces in the central region to prepare for flooding as the Pasak Jolasid dam will discharge more water. Areas likely to be affected include Chai Nat, Sing Buri, Ang Thong, Lop Buri, Ayutthaya, Saraburi, Pathum Thani, Nonthaburi and Bangkok.

    I can still remember that some Dutch engineers were invited to Bangkok about 12 years ago to develop a plan of action.
    They submitted this to the full Thai satisfaction and after 3 years without flooding / high water it was no longer necessary and the plan went into the well-known refrigerator.
    They will soon be invited again, because we, the Dutch, are known as "water weatherers"
