That looks intense! Poor people, they are already poor and then this too. There are also many who cannot swim, seems dangerous to me.

Hello, I am still in the Netherlands, but I am coming to Thailand next week. What is the situation in Pattaya, "normal" as I hear. I also want to stay in Bangkok (Silom) for a few nights. I am expected to get my feet wet there (river flooding) because then I might as well get through to Pattaya. According to reports here in the Netherlands, things are not going well in Thailand. Can you keep me and perhaps other Thailand “departures” informed in the coming days.

In Pattaya they have dry feet and it stays that way. Just read Bangkok Post.com and you'll be up to date.

In Pattaya Thai it was also mopping with the tap open, large part of southern Pattaya was underwater last week. But now everything has been cleaned up and normal life there is back in full swing. They are only repairing the road at the end of the beach road, you will be diverted there. There is an occasional shower, but in general the weather is very pleasant.

    • That's right, just spoke to someone near Pattaya, nothing to worry about.
