A dead green sea turtle is the next sad example of the slow destruction of marine life. The animal was sick and could no longer eat and veterinarians tried to save the turtle. That is no longer possible because the animal had an enormous amount of plastic, rubber bands, pieces of balloon and other waste in its intestines.

Thailand is one of the world's largest consumers of plastic, which kills hundreds of marine mammals and reptiles swimming off the coast each year. The sick green turtle was found on June 4 on a beach in the eastern province of Chantha Buri.

More than half of the eight million tons of plastic waste dumped in the oceans each year comes from five Asian countries: China, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam and Thailand (Ocean Conservancy report).

Terrible... I have a link to a video here, where grown barnacles are removed from turtles with the best of intentions. A turtle has swallowed a fishing net… in this video you can see how much… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbYwc1lNEms&lc=z22jyn0jzoimyz4n4acdp430zh3tzofu5dxy55ze1p1w03c010c

If animals had a religion, humans would be the devil.
