Two Danes arrested for gang rape Dutch tourist in Chiang Mai
Two Danish men were arrested today on charges of rape. They are said to be involved in the gang rape of a 23-year-old Dutch tourist last Sunday in a hotel in Chiang Mai.
Police are still looking for a third suspect.
The suspects were identified as Casper Pederson and Thomas Jensen. Police arrested the two Danes while they were floating on a raft in a river near Mawang (Chiang Mai). The men were taken to the police station, where they denied the allegations.
The Dutch woman said she did go to Thomas' room, but she had not given permission for sexual contact. When she got to his room, the two friends turned out to be there too. She says she was raped by all three men.
The Thai police now also know the identity of the third suspect and will submit the case to a prosecutor.
