Corona crisis Thailand April 27: 9 new infections, 1 person died

The Thai government reports 9 new infections with the corona virus (Covid-19) on Monday. One person also died from the effects of the infection. This brings the total in Thailand to 2.931 infections and 52 deaths.
It is the first time since the outbreak in January that no new infections have been reported in Bangkok, said Taweesilp Visanuyothin, spokesman for the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration.
Of the new infections, three can be traced back to previous cases, two new patients came from abroad and were quarantined and four other infected persons come from the southern province of Yala, where authorities are testing the population due to high infection rates.
Since the outbreak escalated in January, 2.609 patients have recovered in hospital and returned home.
