The Thai government reports on Tuesday, 19 new infections with the corona virus (Covid-19). After three days without deaths, another death is reported today.

The total number of corona patients now stands at 2811. A 50-year-old taxi driver who transported passengers from a boxing stadium has died. Dr. Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration spokesman Taweesilp Visanuyothin said the taxi driver had type 2 diabetes, poorly controlled blood sugar and smoked. He took passengers to the Lumpinee boxing stadium, and also picked up passengers.

Dr. Taweesilp is satisfied with the low number of new infections, according to him the result of the lockdown. In the past 24 hours, 109 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals. The total number of recovered patients rose to 2.108. There are now only 655 patients with corona in hospitals. Forty-eight patients died in hospital. The doctor says that there are enough hospital beds for those infected with Corona.
