For the first time since the outbreak of the corona crisis, the Thai government has not reported any new infections, but there is also criticism. Thailand would test too little and therefore the figures would be distorted.
CCSA spokesman Taweesilp denies that Thailand owes its low infection rates to the low number of tests relative to population size, as critics claim. He says Thailand conducts more tests than Taiwan, Vietnam, Japan, the Philippines and Indonesia, at 4.294 tests per 1 million inhabitants. But there are also countries that test significantly more, such as Italy (41.558), Singapore (29.763) and the US (27.015). The doctor says that 286.008 people have been tested since the beginning of the year, of which 3.017 have turned out positive.
No new infections or deaths
Dr. Taweesilp Visanuyothin, said to be very happy with today's news. Still, he doesn't want to cheer too soon, everyone has to remain careful. It seems that Thailand has come a long way in the fight to stop the virus. 34.444 people were tested this month and only 0,18% of them tested positive for Covid-19,
In the past 24 hours, 46 patients were considered cured and discharged from the hospital. 2.844 people have now been cured of Covid-19 in the hospital, there are still 117 patients in various hospitals.

In Thailand we have no knowledge of people who are infected. After the exodus of people from Pattaya Bangkok and other tourist centers, half of Isan would be infected. None of that…..no infections.
All Thai also know well-known Thai… singers, actors, sports people, etc… .. when they become infected, everyone knows that too. My wife has no knowledge that a known Thai would have been infected.
