128 arrests were made this week in 99 places across the country, including Pattaya, Hat Yai and Koh Samui. This concerns both migrants from neighboring countries who work illegally in Thailand and foreigners with an expired visa. Most suspects come from Myanmar, Laos, India, Germany and a number of African countries.

Operation "X-Ray Outlaw Foreigner" was conducted by the Narcotics Suppression Bureau, Central Investigation Bureau, Immigration Bureau, Tourist Police Bureau (TPB), the Patrol and Special Operations Division and the local police.

At least 74 international schools, which employ some Africans as teachers, were visited. It turned out that their visas had expired, but they were still in front of the class. The police want to prevent the institutions from converting their tourist visa into a student visa by issuing them with certificates, because that is against immigration law.

Thailand sighs among foreign crime syndicates, especially from African countries such as Nigeria and Guinea, which deal with credit card fraud and drug trafficking. The bank accounts of some contain amounts of XNUMX to XNUMX baht, the origin of which they could not indicate.

Surachate says DNA is being taken from the arrested suspects. The names of the suspects are also placed on the Immigration blacklist and they are deported to their country of origin.
