Brit dead after fall from apartment Pattaya

A 68-year-old British man died on Wednesday morning after falling from his room on the 18th floor of a Pattaya condominium.

Police found the man's body on a mezzanine floor on the 5th floor of Lumpini Ville Naklua in Bang Lamung district. His 49-year-old Thai girlfriend sat next to the body, crying. According to her, the man wanted to divorce his wife and had emotional problems.

Police are investigating the case and are sending the body to the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the Police General Hospital for a post-mortem examination and to confirm the cause of death. The police assume suicide.
