Deputy Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has reaffirmed that all expatriates in Thailand will soon be able to receive a COVID-19 vaccination.

Anutin says that a number of expats have already successfully visited vaccination centers in Bangkok. So far, more than 300.000 expats have had a shot at the vaccination centers in MedPark, the vaccination center at Bang Sue Grand Station and in the hospitals of Vimut and Bangrak. The rollout of vaccines is now being accelerated so that expats living in other parts of Thailand can also get a shot.

Contract signed with Pfizer for an additional 10 million doses

Anutin's pledge comes after the Department of Health signed a contract Friday to purchase an additional 10 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine, bringing the total to 30 million doses by the end of this year. The contract was signed by Opas Karnkawinpong, Director General of the Disease Control Department, and Deborah Seifert, Director of Pfizer Thailand and Indochina.

Opas previously signed a supply agreement for 20 million doses of the Pfizer Covid-20 vaccine on July 19. Delivery will take place in phases in the fourth quarter of this year.

On Tuesday, the cabinet approved the agreement with Pfizer to purchase 9,3 million doses for 20 billion baht. These purchases are part of the Disease Control Department's plan to have purchased 100 million doses of various types of Covid-19 vaccines by the end of the year, government spokesman Anucha Burapachaisri said after Tuesday's cabinet meeting.

First feel then believe. Via Mor Prom we would receive the first vaccination on August 11 at 14.00 p.m.
13.30 we arrived at the hospital and had to go to the reception desk through a chaos of waiting people. Were able to go home right away because there was no vaccine for the person with an appointment. Well for those who didn't have an appointment. White nose? We would be called if we could have it tested, calling off was probably too much trouble.

Totally agree Bing, first feel and then believe.
I have registered on all possible websites. All hospitals in my province of Chiang Mai emailed, registered for Moderna in June and already paid. Received confirmation everywhere but heard nothing so far for an appointment to be effectively vaccinated.

      Goodbye,

It is chaos and so Anutin apparently does not know that there are expats who have had their jabs here for a long time.
