The wealthy Dutchman Jan Brand (known from the listed secondment company Brunel) must appear in Hua Hin on November 7 in a criminal case regarding bungalow park and golf resort de Banyan, reports the Financieele Dagblad.

The case stems from a feud between the Banyan's investors/owners. Brand is now charged with burglary. He has fallen out with former Breevast CEO and former Volker Wessels director Ton Beekman, who was also director of the Banyan for over a year and owns a villa there himself.

More than 100 million euros have been invested in the park. Jan Brand has contributed the most to this and also has a villa in the park. Another shareholder is the Dutchman Jan Onderdijk, he has also been summoned.

The summons of Brand en Onderdijk has to do with the burglary and seizure of Ton Beekman's holiday villa. According to Beekman, a Thai court has already ruled that both gentlemen must return the holiday villa to him, but they would refuse to do so.
