Reverent silence

Brave hero

died

for our peace

innocent child

murdered

despite the pleas

never

we will forget you

and never

I will really know

what it was like at the time

full of fearful uncertainty

i can only be thankful

for my freedom

and make good use of it

in this peacetime

by God's love

to show, so big

an unconditional love

stronger than death

out of respect for you
