Transport Co. has informed travelers using the Chatuchak bus terminal of an important warning. This warning concerns taxi drivers at the terminal who charge unauthorized extra costs. The move follows reports of drivers at Mo Chit 2, a crucial hub for bus services to Thailand's northern and northeastern regions, charging travelers an extra 50 baht.
In response, Transport Co. has adjusted its procedures since March 1. They have now instructed all inter-provincial buses to use a specific area of the premises to drop off passengers in an effort to address the issue. The company emphasizes that it does not support the additional charges demanded by some taxi drivers and encourages passengers faced with such demands to report these incidents to the Ministry of Land Transport via telephone number 1584.
To better protect travelers against these exploitative practices, Transport Co. recommends. recommends that passengers use the official taxi stand, which is located near exit 4 of the terminal. This ensures they have access to fairly priced transportation options upon arrival.
For even more convenience, Transport Co. launched a shuttle bus service connecting the bus station with Mo Chit BTS station. This service is available from 4.00:7.00 AM to XNUMX:XNUMX AM and provides an alternative transportation option for early morning travelers. In addition, travelers have the option to use the public bus services from the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority terminal, located just south of the Chatuchak Bus Terminal, for their travel needs.

The shuttle bus service is a good idea. Too bad it's only from 4 to 7 in the morning.
They may start more shuttle bus services. For example between Mo Chit and the new train station.
Does anyone have an idea if there is also a shuttle bus service from Chatuchak bus terminal to Suvarnabhumi airport?
Nee,
There isn't one.
But if you take the BTS at Chatuchak, 4 stops, and take the airport link at Phaya Thai, you will be at Suvarnabhum Airport within 45 minutes
There is no shuttle. But since most buses from the north, east and central arrive at Mo Chit bus station, they often pass through Don Muang Airport where you can also get off. From there a shuttle bus, free on presentation of your flight ticket, goes to Suvarnabhummi Airport.
Living here with Nana, it's almost an impossibility to get a regular taxi with a taxi meter. They all ask 400/500 bath from Nana to Mochit. 2 days ago 8 taxis were stopped, none of them wanted to turn on the taxi meter.
Upon arrival at Suvarnabumi I got (for the first time) a taxi that did use its meter. He took a route unknown to me and thought he was going to make a big detour to earn some extra money. When we arrived at the hotel, the taxi meter read 312 bath!!! He said he took a detour because of traffic. A good tip was in order.
So there are also honest drivers, although they are hard to find now 🙂
If you choose Bolt or Grab, you won't have that problem.
Taking a photo in the taxi that the Taxidermrter is turned off, that scares them
