Mass arrest drug trafficking in Northern Thailand
The drug trade in the Golden Triangle seems to be booming lately. A police action against these activities resulted in 172 arrests in one day.
Police and the army reportedly seized methamphetamine worth around €2,6 million during a raid in Chiang Saen district in the north of the country, local media reported. The action was aimed at illegal drug trafficking and money laundering.
The border area between northern Thailand, Myanmar and Laos is one of the regions where most drugs are produced and traded worldwide. According to the United Nations, the so-called Golden Triangle is the second largest area for the cultivation and processing of opium. In recent years, however, drug traffickers have increasingly concentrated on methamphetamine.

Behind that the uniforms, not to be outnumbered.
But what do I see there with those pink vests and my head bowed low?
Aren't those motorbike-taxi drivers? I think they just don't want to be recognized by their customers. Users, nothing more.
Look at all those emaciated and sunken faces.
On the table 3 single-barrel shotguns or 4,5 or 5,5 mm wind rifles. Can't see very well.
There you can pop a crow out of your fruit tree at a maximum distance of 10 meters.
Admittedly with sparrows you have a better chance. No, really put sod on the dike like that.
Weren't the Thais in the news just last week that such a nice alternative had been found for poppy cultivation?
Well, try to form a well-considered opinion in Thailand. Not so easy.
You won't hear me talking about nailing the souls to the pillory like that. Does not matter ,
they should do the same in the Netherlands. If that is not allowed, start by looking towards Belgium first.
The international driver among us knows that it is also allowed in Belgium. Think of Joost at Hazeldonk.
Roadside restaurant with pictures of customers who had left without paying.
Not welcome anymore. All those square heads, definitely not emaciated.
