The Pattaya Music Festival has been canceled for the second consecutive year. Pattaya Mayor Sonthaya Kunplome has announced that the concerts will not take place from April 30 to May 2. Sonthaya said the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration has designated Chonburi province as a "red zone" and therefore mass gatherings are not allowed.
The City Hall also canceled the annual post-Songkran Kong Khao Festival on April 20 at Lan Po Public Park.
Sonthaya says that the 'Pattaya Kite Festival' – which will be held on Pattaya Beach until April 19 – will continue.
