Chinese embassy warns of bad weather in Thailand
The Chinese embassy in Bangkok has warned Chinese tourists coming to Thailand during the 'Golden Week' holiday period next month about the weather in Thailand. Because the strong wind can cause waves of more than 2 meters, it is better not to swim in the sea or make boat trips.
The warning applies to the entire monsoon period from May to October.
The warning was prompted by the recent boat disaster that killed 47 Chinese tourists. Chinese tourists also drown every month who go into the sea despite warnings. In August alone, six Chinese drowned.
The Thai Meteorological Department warned yesterday of a low pressure area over the southern part of the Gulf of Thailand that will cause heavy rain in the east and south of the country today. From tomorrow to Friday, the southwest monsoon will ease, although more rain is expected over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand.

That's no wonder. Saw it in Phuket. There were life size flags in English, Russian and Chinese to NOT swim. People had to be called out of the water continuously and indeed yes, they were all Chinese.
Very busy with especially loud shouting at each other on the beach and no attention to warnings at all.
Today, Sunday, Sept. 23, from 12.00:XNUMX p.m. heavy rain and heavy thunder at Lake Maprachan
near pattaya.
Slow driving by car because of the water level on the road.
Around 15.00 p.m. it became quieter.
