The popular viewpoint in Ban Jabo (Mae Hong Son), an ethnic Lahu village, has been closed after a landslide. Tropical Storm Sinlaku has been causing heavy rain in the area for several days.
The viewpoint has been damaged as well as shops that depend on tourists and are therefore closed until further notice.
Ban Jabo is popular for its beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, which are often shrouded in fog. Many Thai and tourists visit the point to take pictures.
