AoT: Airport tax for domestic flights will not be increased
Airports of Thailand (AoT), which owns the six major airports, denies it intends to increase airport taxes for domestic passengers. There have been rumors about this on social media.
Fares remain unchanged at 100 baht per person on domestic flights and 700 baht on international flights. According to internet reports, the tax would increase by 300 baht to compensate for the high costs of domestic flights. These costs mainly consist of safety provisions.
