One more time we will call him the “new” ambassador of the Netherlands, Remco van Wijngaarden. From now on it will simply be our ambassador, who is there for all Dutch people in his area of jurisdiction. In any case, the start is good, today this message on the Facebook page of the embassy:

On 1 November, ambassador Remco van Wijngaarden met a number of Dutch organizations in Thailand. Discussions took place with the Dutch Association of Thailand, the Dutch Thai Chamber of Commerce NTCC, the Thailand Business Foundation and the Dutch School about their activities and how the cooperation can be further strengthened.

The organizations form an important pivot in the Dutch community. During his visits to Hua Hin and Pattaya, the ambassador will soon become acquainted with the Dutch associations in those cities.

It is striking that the message was posted in Dutch, English and Thai. Great idea, that should become a regular habit.
