Thai AirAsia added four new routes from U-tapao airport (near Pattaya) to the network last Friday, a record in the history of Thai aviation.

These include routes to Chiang Mai, Udon Thani, Singapore and Macau. AirAsia is confident in the possibilities that the airport in Rayong offers. The budget airline now flies from U-tapao on eight routes. Hat Yai will be added to the timetable in December. In total, Air Asia operates 46 flights per week, which is also a record in U-tapao's 39-year existence.

Thai AirAsia's ambitions go much further, Ubon Ratchathani, Khon Kaen and Chiang Rai are also nominated to be added to the route network from U-tapao. There are also plans to visit India, because many Indians go on holiday to Pattaya.

The four new routes already have an occupancy rate of 80 percent, which is a good start.

The issuing of the new permit is still pending.
And suddenly there is the competitor who steps in to block Kan.
    Nice example of………..
