Who has experience buying hearing aids through Lazada?
Dear readers,
Has anyone in Thailand bought a hearing aid through Lazada? Which brand and are you satisfied with it? And what price range are you in?
If you want to do it through the Thai hospitals you get those very big whoppers in your ear and that doesn't really look good.
Hoping for positive responses.
Regards,
Driekes

Dear Driekes,
Hearing care professionals and hearing aid suppliers are located throughout Thailand.
Go put your light on there.
They also test your hearing and will advise you based on that result. There are several in Ubon. Also measure almost invisible.
Hi Driekens,
I am a 15 year user of hearing aids via Schoonhoven in Rotterdam.
Hearing aids are specifically adjusted to your hearing, even per ear.
Your hearing is extensively tested per ear before you receive your hearing aids and is retested every 5 years.
Devices are not cheap. I had to pay about $500 co-payment for the last pair I got.
Had 2 pairs with me when I came to Thailand for the umpteenth time 5 years ago. (I come in Ubon Ratchatani since 1987)
I have found a store for batteries but never a store that can clean my hearing aids.
Sent a few to Schoonhoven for repair.
After the repair (free of charge), they returned the devices with the PostNL proof.
Hearing aids never received.
The other pair was offered for repair in the shop in Ubon.
Cleaning no problem, but they don't work.
Think that the devices have been damaged by the sweat.
I have hearing aids that go behind my ear, small in-ear devices don't work because of my (sort of?) deafness.
Would like to have the address in Ubon Ratchatani who can clean my hearing aids in such a way that they are working again.
thanks in advance
Dear Driekes,
I wouldn't do it just to buy a hearing aid, point one, they must be adjusted to the hearing loss of your ears, point two, if adjusted incorrectly, it can even cause damage.
The fit of each ear is also different, these hearing pieces are made on your ear impression.
Wear hearing aids myself and would strongly advise against doing so, but the choice is yours!!
Good luck with your choice
And to all Dutch people in Thailand, another good 2022.
I have 2 hearing aids , bought at St Mary Hospital in Korat .
Hearing tested first, then hearing aids tried.
I have the little ones that are placed in the ear canal.
You hardly see them.
The brand is : INSIGNA , German , it belongs to the SIEMENS group .
I can control the volume with my smartphone.
Cost for the two = 32.000 Baht
Never had any problems
I have a cheap device from Lazada, I hear a buzzing sound very well when it is in my ear.
SO DO NOT BUY!
If there is something that would never or never buy through Lazada, it is a hearing aid. As indicated above: that requires measurements and adjustments. If you don't do that, it will malfunction and possibly cause irreparable hearing damage ... how are you going to do that, with a device purchased from Lazada?
As has already been said, a hearing aid must be adapted to your personal situation.
Go to a specialized store for this.
You don't buy a false prayer through Lazada, do you? 😉
