Reader question: Can someone recommend a five star hotel in Bangkok?
Dear readers,
I will be staying in Bangkok from Jan 22nd to Jan 26th. Can anyone recommend a five star hotel where you can just relax at a beautiful swimming pool with many sun loungers? Preferably in the center close to Skytrain.
It may cost something, but now no more than 100 euros per night.
I like to hear it.
Regards,
Jean-Marie
Dear Jean-Marie,
BV the 4 star Eastin Hotel in the Makkasan district.
have fun
Questioner expressly says 'five stars'…………
Recently had the pleasure of staying at the five star Chatrium Riverside, on the river. Hotel boat connection with the boat docks at the Saphan Thaksin bridge and the Skytrain station located there.
Prices vary, but I paid around 100 euros for a river view room.
I've never been so charmed by unsolicited.
It was only well-intentioned.
Also stayed in Eastin a few times and it is just super, highly recommended.. very friendly staff, very nice rooms. nice pool with bar and is located at a skytain stop.
The hotel also houses an office of the Dutch tour operator 333 travel with Dutch-speaking staff.
Happy holidays Jean Marie and happy holidays
Plenty of options, but my absolute favorite is Dusit Thani. Look for all the details of this beautiful Thai hotel on the Internet, but also read the story and the reactions that have been posted on this blog:

Anantana Riverside. Peach swimming pool with garden
Lebua in the state tower
Eastin Grand Sathorn.
From the same owner as the BTS Skytrain and therefore also has a connection to the skytrain.
An incredibly beautiful infinity pool on the 14th floor!
And a great Chinese restaurant Chef Man. Also Dutch or Flemish concierge. Recommended.
The breakfast buffet is also great. Known as the best breakfast in Bangkok.
Hotel is now 4 or 5 years old and I have been there 5 times already. Nothing else in Bangkok for my family.
Many Thai wealthy people come here. Ferraris and Rolls Royce's complete the picture!
Are you still talking about the same hotel ” Eastin Grand Sathorn ”
Grt
CHATRIUM HOTEL!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful hotel, very well located practically next to the sky train. good boat connection from hotel to the sky train.
We have already been 2 x. TOPPER.
From my own experience I can definitely recommend Pathumwan Princess: http://www.pprincess.com/index.html/
Plaza Athenee I have been going there for 10 years and everything has just been renewed
Pathumwan Princess Hotel on top of the MBK, by the SKY train. You can hardly get more central. Lovely large swimming pool and plenty of sunbeds. Around €100 per night. Great breakfast!

I can recommend hotel

**** €.60/70 with a large breakfast buffet.
We regularly stay a few nights in Chatrium Riverside. Excellent hotel, great location. Recommendation: upgrade to suite with river view. + lots of extra facilities
Still weird,
That no one calls Siam Kempinski hotel Bangkok.
Owner of the king, located behind the Paragon mall.
Connected to this shopping center via a footbridge and therefore perhaps the only hotel in Bangkok with a direct connection to station "Siam" and therefore 4 BTS lines.
The hotel is an oasis of tranquility in the heart of Bangkok, it has a huge courtyard with several swimming pools and lots and lots of sun loungers.
Some rooms have direct access to a swimming pool.
In that period it is "low" season and you can spend the night there for a reasonable price.
Within a radius of 300 meters. are hundreds of restaurants and the klong boat stops nearby.
Definitely recommended.
Greetings Nico
Well,
You name it, a 5 star hotel for Royalty, VIP and ministers. The hotel is definitely recommended for vacation. We stayed 5 nights in the Royal suite and had to pay just over 1 million Bhat.
The royal suite is a complete, very luxurious apartment and indeed, the garden is an oasis of peace in the middle of Bangkok.
We didn't know that the king is the owner, but now we also understand, the large land area in the heart of Bangkok. This is priceless for others. The courtyard is huge with several swimming pools and many seating areas. A round bar is also located here, but you only have to blink your eyes and the service is next to you.
We also found the direct connection to the gigantic shopping center "Siam Paragon" very handy and therefore also directly to the Skytrain from the Siam Station, a beautiful pedestrian area, all above the busy traffic of Bangkok.
And indeed there is within a small radius, an incredibly large choice of restaurants.
They can also pick you up from the airport for just 3.000 Bhat.
Hoping to have informed you accordingly,
Burgundy family.
1 address for an unforgettable experience : https://theeugeniahotel.wordpress.com/
Plenty of choice: Oriental, Shangri-La and the Peninsula. All on the river and easy to get to from the skytrain. Can't you get upset. We have very good experiences with all three.
Tawana hotel…not far from skytrain…in high season you can enjoy a dinner with live music next to the pool every evening…
We are The Tawana Hotel almost every time we visit Bangkok, and you have a double room with breakfast for under 50 Euro. The Rooms are spacious, and ok for this price, but if you're honest, the Inventory of the Hotel has come quite a bit over the years, and of course has nothing to do with a 5 star hotel, which was actually Jean-Marie's request. However, the Hotel is centrally located on Surawong road, opposite the nightlife of Patpong, and the sky train can be reached in a few minutes, so it is well suited for a city sightseeing.
Have had several 5 stars, but patumwan princess really stands out….pricey, but yes……..it's worth it and linked to the mbk shopping center…just get out of bed and do some shopping.
the landmark is very good on the sukimvit
anantara riverside resort , large swimming pool with many chairs and beautiful garden .
Plenty of choice

Marriott has several excellent hotels in Bangkok.
The Renaissance Hotel in Bangkok (Marriott) is also recommended.
Excellent experience at Marriott Sukhumvit.
