Dear readers,

Who knows a specialized travel organization in roots trips to Thailand (with demonstrable experiences). I want to go back to my native Thailand for the first time after 42 years. Next year or the year after. First save enough money because I plan to stay and travel around Asia for 3-6 months. I have to pick up my Thai passport in Bangkok too (long story).

After having had a rather difficult life, I am finally ready to go back to my native Thailand. Am learning Thai online.(which is not really easy). Have a few good reliable contacts in Thailand.

Who knows someone near Udonthani 'kutchap' who knows the area very well or prefers to live there who would like to give me a tour?

I am also looking for a translator/interpreter or person with very good knowledge of Thai-NL (or Thai-EN/FR) who I can hire to translate for several days in a row and possibly travel with me to destinations? Preferably a female person.

Also a private driver who is willing to help with the car around Udon?

Thanks.

Regards,

Khun S

    Hello Kun,

I sense you are emotional about this trip. Understandable after 42 years. I even feel some fear. Really not necessary. I know an older Thai sporty lady who speaks good English. If interested, I can contact her and ask if she can make herself available.

    Cheers,
    Stefan

    HiS,

Many Dutch people live in the vicinity of Udon Thani with a Thai wife who often speaks good Dutch.

You want to pick up your Thai passport. Do you have a Thai ID card?
Passport in Thailand is almost only a travel document.

There are also some good Thai teachers in the Netherlands.
You can also gain acquaintances who can help you further if you visit the Thai Temple in Waalwijk or Purmerend.

    Dear S,

You can simply apply for your Thai passport in the Netherlands (read previous posts).
Your passport will be sent to you from Thailand within three weeks.

My opinion is, first save and make a good plan to do this
    Thailandblog readers.

Preferably a female person or a confidential person?
In my opinion (again) this shouldn't matter...or should it (not clear).

There are certainly people here on this blog who live in Udon Thani and would be happy to guide you.
Do you perhaps have a handicap?

Let's be a little clearer for the readers.

    Yours faithfully,

    Erwin

“Specialized travel organization in roots travel “… really?
Let me disregard the rest of your question then...
    You can't take this seriously.

    Good day Khun S,

Hi, how nice that you were born in Thailand just like me and raised by parents in NL. I am also from 1975 (2518 Thai year)

I have been living in Udon Thani for 10 weeks now, so I live approx. hours from my biological mother who lives in Sawan Daen Din in Sakon Nakhon. My father even 3 hours drive from Udon. I have been to Thailand 2015 times since January 4. There is another person I know who has been living in Bangkok for about 5 years now. He has also been adopted, but he has not found his parents.

An acquaintance is coming to Thailand in October to visit his parents who even live very close to my mother.

I have met many people in the Netherlands since 2015 who have also been adopted and who have found their roots and biological parents with the help of Khun S. Suvadinkun. Some also have the Thai ID and Passport.

I understand that you want to go to Thailand for 3-6 months, just do it myself…but I will stay for 6 months, and then I will see Well. You would like help with an interpreter, and I know someone who can help you, he can also help you find your biological parents if you want.

I also understand that you want to get your passport in Bangkok. You can also get it in Udon. Do you have Thai ID card with 13 numbers ( x xxxx xxxxx xx x) if you don't have I can help you with what you need to apply for ID. It's not an easy procedure if you don't have an ID number, if you have it it's a bit easier to get the Thai ID card.

Mail me for information such as adoptees via FB, Mr. S. Suvandinkhun, ID and Passports, what papers do you need, etc… so feel free to mail me for more info: [email protected]

I can tell you more but preferably not here, that's too personal.

    Regards,

    Khan Klahan

Thank you all for your contributions... for answering your questions Stefaan... thank you for your response. No, not really emotional anymore... actually I try to eliminate my feelings as much as possible... the search has been long. Quite disappointing even. But I'm an adventurer and take it as it is. Open mind. The most important thing is that I will discover the country and people, culture, etc. And yes, I would like to visit my family and see if they would like to get in touch at all?? They know about my existence because I started looking through private investigation agencies years ago. Various Thai government services also helped.
Matzfreak I'm open to anything. Looking to leave for next year after the summer I think. I am looking for an interpreter, private driver and people who would like to show me around for one or more days. I am also looking through friends in Thailand. I think it's important that I get in touch with those people before departure, to build a bond because my story is very exceptional and 'losing face' for the Thai.
Jos and Erwin ..I have a Thai 13 digit number..The Thai government officials have told me that I have to personally go to Bangkok and Udon for ID confirmation. First Udon for the Thai ID then. Bangkok Thai Embassy.
But before I leave I have an appointment with the Thai embassy in Brussels (living in Belgium).
Get a temporary passport to travel to Thailand.
When asked why a female interpreter?? No, not interested in sexual services. Have had a top partner for 18 years. But she doesn't want to and can't go. This is a journey I must go on alone.
An old friend from nl and znThai woman (friendship is over) did some research in Thailand and it seems that older women in the village had information but only wanted to tell a woman?? His Thai wife can speak English very poorly, unfortunately, so there was little to talk about at the time.
Thanks Willy for the information, she will contact us. Mr Ronny…bit of a strange comment. Why can't this be taken seriously? Can you please explain me? A bit strange but good.
Thank you Klahan. I will email you personally.

If there are people who would like further information and would like to help seriously, please email me. I will not put substantive personal information on the public internet. Apologies for this, but I have already had some lesser experiences on other forums. Whether via facebook chat or personal meeting I am happy to explain a few things.

I am someone who likes to prepare myself for things as best as possible. Especially if I'm going to travel around Thailand and surrounding countries for a number of months. Still have plenty of time.

My thanks to all who willingly and well-intentioned help!

He will probably have to apply for a Thai passport in Thailand because if he does not have a birth certificate, he must contact his father or mother who must help him with that.

  10. khun s says up

dear Willem… according to the Thai embassy in The Hague and Bruxelles, I have to travel to Udon and Bangkok for my ID card and passport for identification. my father and mother are unfortunately no longer alive so all that remains is to try to get in touch with other family members.

The most important thing is that I finally want and can travel to Thailand. it took me years to get ready. I start in Bangkok and will also have to do Udon for a few days because of going to the town hall for my ID card. but the Thai embassy will arrange everything in their own words so that everything will hopefully be arranged smoothly. then get a Thai driver's license or have it converted. I take 1 month off for my search in Thailand.
I think I need an interpreter, private driver and personal assistant there for 1 week anyway. I am looking for a person who can travel with me during the 'quest' and at the same time show me the country, culture and environment.
going to dive for 3 months (want to get my master diver there).
