Dear readers,

Our son lives in Bangkok and mid-January we will go there again for 3 weeks. We spend time with him and his girlfriend, but we also always go to discover new places in Thailand for 10 days. This time we want to fly to Hat Yai and from there to Koh Lipe for a few days.

After that stay we still have 5 to 6 days to visit another place. Does anyone have tips?

We have visited Koh Lanta, Phi Phi, Phuket before, moreover it is a long boat trip to those islands from Koh Lipe.

We don't have to go specifically to an island, a place in the interior is also fine.

You can't fly directly to Kabi from Hat Yai, I saw, to do something from there.

I'm curious if anyone has any good tips, thanks in advance for thinking along.

Regards,

Marjan

  1. Gdansk says up

Visit the deep south: Satun, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala or Narathiwat. Low prices, nice people, beautiful nature and little to no tourists. Plenty of sights too: Samila Beach in Songkhla, Wat Chang Hai, Krue Se Mosque and the Central Mosque in Pattani, Wat Khuhaphimuk in Yala and the Bacho Waterfall and beaches of Narathiwat.

Does it have to be Thailand? From Hat Yai you can also fly cheaply to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.
You can easily spend 5 days there.
The same goes for Singapore, by the way.
