Home » Reader question » Reader question: With which Thai SIM card can I call the Netherlands for 1 baht p/m?
Dear readers,
I have read many answers to my question here on Thailandblog. Just not the right answer yet.
My question is: with which Thai SIM card can you call from Thailand to the Netherlands for 1 Bath per minute?
Thank you and goodbye,
Richard
Well richard I have not come across this card yet
I call with voipbuster cheap
put 10 euros on it get 105 days free to a landline
after that I pay 5 euro cents per pm
Yes, I do that too Voipbuster, where mobile calls to the Netherlands cost 25 euro cents.
Here at home I also use Skype.
Just got back from Thailand. With 12Call *AIS* you can call the Netherlands to a fixed number with 009 for 6 bath. If you just call it's about 50 bath, call 005 before about 20 bath, but 009 before best deal so far. I am also very satisfied with the AIS *12Call*. Hopefully this information will help you.
Calling for 1 Bath may only be possible with certain promotions.
Kind regards Peter *sapparot* Sawasdee khrap
inter sim from True, only to fixed numbers in NL (and many other countries) 1 baht/min.
on sale at 7/11
I'm calling with 1 2 call from AIS
with the code 00500 for the country code you only pay 3 baht per minute
Calling Belgium for 10 minutes costs me 30 baht.
Indeed Jan Bol: with True Move you can call fixed telephone numbers for 1 Baht/minute. all over the world PROVIDED you put '006' before the phone no. put, so eg 006003120xxxxxx for cheap calls to A*dam. You can get the simcard at any telephone shop for 50 Baht. You can also top up your calling credit at 7/11. I myself am very happy with it.
Calling with true move is to fixed numbers with the 004 5 bath mobile is 10 bath
After that, the costs are also very low.
sim card is the inter sim card
Dtac is the same in price
Other option, take a sim with mobile internet.
If your family in the Netherlands also has that, you can use applications such as Line to simply call and send messages over the internet, at no extra cost, only data traffic. But a mobile internet package is not too expensive. In Thailand you can also choose between volume-based packages and time-based packages, so if you have an abbo for 20 hours, you can use the internet/call for 20 hours. So only your family in the Netherlands has to install the same app.
I do want to respond to Ben, that you can indeed call cheaply to Belgium and many other countries in Europe, but the Netherlands has just been excluded from this.
I myself call with an international calling card, zayhi or easy card available at the bigC, but probably only in Phuket because I have not come across this anywhere else and call the landline in the Netherlands for 2.5 baht per minute, but the cheapest is skype .
This is the intersim card with yellow cover and can be purchased at any 7-elefen.
The Line app is indeed fantastic. Have friends and acquaintances install it in the Netherlands as well. Works much better than WhatsApp, but that is of course personal. The most installed app in this segment in Asia.
Recommendation!!
The best is 12 cal of ais
00500 you call 3 cents per minute to nl
and you already have a SIM card from 35 baht
take a good look around you
I'm in the Netherlands for a while now, I buy my SIM cards at MBK in Bangkok, you only have to ask for an international card of 1 Baht per minute. I don't know the name, I have the phone in BKK. Previously I called 1-2 Call with 009 before 6 Baht p.minute.005 before to call a mobile phone 20Baht per min.
Dear Richard,
1 Baht is at the rate of 38 Eurocent: 2,63 Eurocent, or 0,0263.
Why work with SIM cards? You can also Skype from your smartphone and from your computer, iPad, etc.! Just deposit 10 Euros on Skype and you can call landlines for 0,02 Euros, or 2 Euro cents per minute. That is cheaper than 1 Baht! And your calling credit can be used worldwide on Skype. Moreover, your calling credit never expires!
Skype is only not possible if you do NOT have a computer and no smartphone, then you have to call with a SIM card. Unless you go to an internet cafe, start Skype, log in with your own Skype name and then you can use your calling credit. A 1-hour call, to any country, will only cost you 2 Euro cents per minute, so less than 1 Baht per minute.
Success with it.
install Voipdiscount on your computer; Deposit 10 euros and then you call fixed numbers in the Netherlands for 0,00. However, to a mobile number is again very expensive, namely 15 euro cents. Conversely, calling from the Netherlands to Thailand with Voipdiscount to both fixed and mobile numbers is free. After 90 days, free calling will expire and the costs will be 1 eurocent per minute. After depositing, this will be free again.
