Dear readers,

I want to take our dog and bird to Thailand in 2023. In Brussels there is a service that arranges this at the airport, but I can't find a direct flight that takes both (THAI Airways gives a strange explanation. Dog would be allowed, but bird?).

At Schiphol I asked the same question to a service, but the answer was; we have to decide not to process any new applications until 27 September. Despite the fact that I clearly stated in my email that it was only before 2023 and that I was only looking for info (direct flight that takes both our animals).

Please comments from someone who has brought animals (and also a bird) to Thailand

Regards,

Ivo (BE)

    goedemorgen,
    I brought my dog.
You have to arrange a lot for it.
    Many injections and health certificate.
Strict control in Bangkok and you also have to pay an amount for that.
You must have the dog's passport checked and get a stamp from the Thai Embassy in The Hague.
We also drove from Bangkok to Chiang Rai.
It was a stressful situation in the Netherlands to get everything arranged.
You have to buy a special cage with a pee blanket in it at Schiphol.
Otherwise you cannot take the dog with you.
I have no experience with a bird.
Good luck and lots of strength.

    Hoi

I don't know a direct flight for you. Idd does take dogs with KLM, Lufthansa.
You can find all the conditions for this on the LICG website.
The Rabies Titter is the most important and start on time!
Why there is no response at the moment is probably also related to the uncertainty of flights, the number of people coming along and the change of aircraft as a result.

For birds, I don't know a direct flight for you. I think Qatar does take birds with it. Also dogs, by the way. And they also take care of the transition.
