Thailand question: EuroTV price increase
Dear readers,
I received an email this morning that EuroTV has to increase its prices due to the current circumstances being price increases. They do go up by about 35%. Did it rise so fast in Thailand?
Go hotels and stuff…. also with a 35% up?
Regards,
Daniel

I received the same letter and in that letter they talk, I think, about the increased prices for energy (electricity) and TV rights. When I look at the service that EuroTV provides, I think it's not just about the costs in Thailand, but also the costs in Europe. The comparison with hotel prices in Thailand is therefore not valid in my opinion.
Sorry for the too much text… So I don't think it's only about the costs in Thailand !!!
I just paid, haven't heard anything about a price increase yet
My hairdresser went from 100 to 140 bath. So that's 40%.
The oil massages are still 300 bath and the Songteaw 10 bath.
This mainly concerns the increased electricity prices in Europe. The servers on which everything is stored are located in Europe and the storage costs are therefore considerably higher. Some rights have also become more expensive.
It is therefore separate from the Thai price level.
The home base of Euro TV I don't think is NOT Thailand. (Belgium?)
Euro TV's explanation is: servers are located in Asia and Europe (so energy costs have an influence) + that license fees now have to be paid (did Euro TV first pluck the signal 'off the air' for free?).
If you read the mail carefully, the increase in the costs for a subscription is due to the increased energy costs in Europe and Asia. It has nothing to do with Thailand at all. Season ticket holders in Laos, India or Australia will also be affected by this increase. (Of course not in ThB but in their own currency, otherwise questions will arise again.) In addition, the licenses have become considerably more expensive, is their explanation.
I find all this very plausible and would be happy to discuss it. EuroTV offers a range of Dutch and Flemish TV channels, as well as a large number of German and English channels. But icing on the cake is the large number of sports channels, so that all kinds of competitions and events can be followed live. There is also a lot of choice for lovers of film and drama, and a subscription to a streaming service is not really necessary. I recently paid just over 13K ThB for 7,2 months of viewing pleasure. If EuroTV increases this amount by 800 ThB, that is only ThB 62 per month. We are talking about Euro 1,70. Compared to the excess of AOW and pension income per coming month, you don't hear me grumbling.
Moderator: Just a response to the reader's question, please
I think it's quite a lot, 12000 baht on an annual basis.
I'm at a third of that price and can choose from sd, hd, hd 4k and hd 8k.
All sports channels, NL channels DE, ENG etc.
Movies and series
Plus a very reliable service
which channel are you talking about??
Euro TV is so illegal, everything is possible, it is a streaming service that means transmitting channels and that has been prohibited for a few years, so the more customers, the more profit, they are just pocket fillers. I myself have IPTV Dark and I pay 75 euros per hour. years for is 6,25 per month. is also illegal but cheaper
With an EVO box € 85 from NL and € 6.25 per month you are cheaper.
You can receive the whole world with this box including series, old and new film.
I bought this box in The Hague, maybe they have a newer version now,
because mine is 6 years old.
