Dear readers,

An important question for me. I am not vaccinated (not possible for health reasons). Can I enter Thailand without vaccination?

Regards,

Cornelis

    Yes Cornelius,

At this time, you can enter Thailand by flying to Suvarnabhumi and then going into Alternative Quarantine (AQ) for 10 days.

To enter Thailand via the Phuket Sandbox or Samui Plus you must be fully vaccinated.

Definitely a negative PCR test. Fly non-stop with KLM. Meet the conditions of the Thai Embassy in The Hague. (read my travel report in the coming days on this blog)

    Cornelius,
Given your health situation and not being vaccinated, you should consider not traveling to Thailand.
Just think for a moment: “What if I get infected in Thailand?”

What if you get hit by the bus tomorrow? My god, people have been frightened about this virus, wow. Just have fun Cornelis! Quarantine for 10 days. You can't escape that. Have fun, welcome to Thailand

I'm glad I don't have the problems my namesake describes above. Nevertheless, my return to Chiang Rai has also been somewhat delayed this time: not because I am not vaccinated, but because I am recuperating after a heart attack. I'm on my bike again, and hope to do that later this year or early next year in and around Chiang Rai and to be able to regularly produce pieces for this blog.

My sister-in-law is allergic to several things.
She became very ill after her first vaccination with Astra Zeneca.
Second vaccine, Pfizer, administered very carefully under medical supervision in the hospital.
But also not without allergic reactions.
When she was checked afterwards, she turned out to have built up no antibodies at all.
However, she did receive a Covid Safe Ticket, under the guise of: there are in the Netherlands
perhaps hundreds of thousands of people who have not built up antibodies.
Of course she has to be doubly careful!
And for you, the question is indeed: do you really have to go to Thailand now, or can't you do better
    wait a few months?

    Dear Cornelius,
The best but also necessary is to turn to the Thai Embassy and try to obtain the necessary documents to enter Thailand.

Whether it is advisable to travel to Thailand in your situation is a consideration that only you should make for yourself.
    Everything has pros and cons.

    Good luck
