Dear readers,

I read that Covid-19 rapid tests are for sale in Thailand for personal use. Does anyone know if these are already available in Pattaya and where? Does anyone know what these costs, because I also want to send some to my wife's family in Isaan.

Regards,

Kees

I heard from my friend two weeks ago that they were offered in her village for 800 baht each. I was still in NL at the time.
    I then ordered 40 for € 1,80 / piece = 70 bht .. and I now have it with me.
Why does that have to be such a difference??? No idea…

If you can send a large number from NL, it will depend on the shipping costs how much cheaper you are.
NB. A package with PostNL now takes 18 days.

At Makro-NL: € 5,0 / 5 sets, then – given the corona wave after June '21, end of “cockdown”, again € 9,99 / 5 pcs. Sold out now.
    3 sets in a mailbox box at € 1,20, € 11 stamps, and after 2 1/2 weeks in Thailand

For sale at Boots Pharmacy in Pattaya.
Roche Covid 19 Antigen test kit. Box contains 5 kits for 1400 baht. After 15 minutes you have the result.
    Success.

Jeez, those are quite a price. Knowing that in NL they are around 2-3 Euro each in the shops, and that they are also distributed for free in many places (schools, care, etc).
