Take PCR test in Pattaya?

Dear readers,

My holiday will be over within 13 days and I will fly back to Brussels with Etihad. I have already consulted the Etihad website and it clearly states that a negative PCR test must be presented before departure. I can't find any information on the blog.

Hence my question if someone could tell me, preferably from first hand, where I can have an (affordable) PCR test in Pattaya.

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Alain

When my wife came back from Thailand on April 24. Had she had her PCR test (with certificate in English) taken in Pattaya Bangkok hospital. It wasn't cheap. In April 3900 Bath. Perhaps the prices have changed in the meantime.

      What does it cost?

Pattaya Rak Health Unit in Naklua, behind the fish market, 1500 baht and the results within 4 hours.

I pass for the Pattaya Bangkok Hospital and choose the Rak Health Unit.
      Thank you Matthew.

I don't think you need a test if you're vaccinated

      Hi Arni,
What are you basing your statement on?
Recently flown back from BKK with Etihad?
Of course I could be wrong but when you consult the Etihad site you will see that one of the requirements is a negative pcr test to be allowed on board.
A few days before my departure, I receive an email from Etihad with a link that will refer to their requirements. I'll keep you informed.
But since 01/11/21 someone must have returned from BKK to Be or NL with Etihad and can therefore provide correct information.

On 10 Nov. with Etihad returned to NL from Phuket. PCR necessary. Had mine purchased a little too early, validity expired before arrival in Amsterdam. So had to test again when switching to Abu Dhabi. Reasonable price US$ 50,00

That's right recently. But of course it could change tomorrow.

That's right, at etihad you need a PCR test, max 72h before departure or you are not allowed to board. I suspect this is the case with most companies.

Just take that test. There is nothing worse than being refused for your flight. Better safe than sorry!

Strange that Etihad asks this…flying to Holland is the vaccination certificate sufficient and no PCR test…perhaps because of the stopover. But it is also all very unclear at the ministry sites go to the airport on time and ask at the check-in desk there, do you have still time to have a rapid test done at the airport, 2 hours

The airlines and/or the transit countries have the right to set requirements, regardless of the entry rules of the final destination country. For example, last summer, flying from Bangkok to Amsterdam via Frankfurt, I also had to have a negative PCR test result to board at Lufthansa, while it was not required for entry into the Netherlands
