Dear readers,

Maybe a silly question, but what about the opening hours of shops in Thailand?

From when to when are the shopping centers open? Does this still differ per city? We will first be in Bangkok for a while and then go to Ko Samui. Is it the same everywhere in Thailand?

Keep up the good work with your site.

Bye,

Gerrie

There are no such thing as silly (stupid) questions, but stupid answers do.
In general, the large shopping centers, open until 22.00 p.m. in the cities,
Small local supermarkets in villages until 22.00 p.m., but as long as there are people, they remain open.
Then you have the 7-11s, which vary with times, some 22.00 p.m., others 24.00 a.m. and there are many that are open 22 hours a day, clean and replenish early in the morning and open again.
The opening hours of most large shopping centers are 09.00 a.m., the small supermarkets usually from 07.00 a.m., often you will still be helped by the owner in pajamas.

    Have fun in Thailand

    Jerry,

It's not such a crazy question, that's what this blog is for, in Bangkok it is best to keep opening hours from 10 a.m. to 22.00 p.m. This is for the shopping centers, but that does not apply to all stores, even on Samui there is no difference here. is the same in Thailand.
If you happen to be in Bangkok in the Huai Khwang district, the shops are open all night.
And you also have night markets in various places in BKK, and there is also a 7-Eleven store everywhere, which are almost always open 24 hours.

    Have a nice holiday
    greeting

    Hi namesake,

that is something you really shouldn't worry about in Thailand. When you want something, it is possible to buy it in 95% of the cases. Good luck.
