On August 29, emergency services had to act after a Dutchman fell from the balcony on the fourth floor of the At KTK Hotel on Soi 12, Pattaya Klang.

Dirk Hasenoot, 36, suffered a head injury in the fall and was taken to Pattaya Bangkok Hospital.

Hotel employees told police the man was staying in room 402 on the fourth floor. The cause of his fall is under investigation.

There's something I don't understand. Today on the news : 30 year old New Zealander falls from the fourth floor and is dead. This Dutchman falls from the fourth floor and only has a head injury.
Did this Dutchman, who rented a room on the fourth floor, just stumble with a head injury, is this Dutchman made of rubber, or does he have a special guardian angel?

i also don't understand this we all know what can happen i personally saw someone fall 10 meters next to me from the second floor in udon thani…dead…but oh well it must be yet another story we will never know about and will also never know the truth … so let's just say that this man is lucky and yes will the truth be told?

It just depends on how you end up and whether your fall is broken by something or whatever. People sometimes fall from the first floor and are dead, while others fall from 10 to 15 meters high and escape alive, but sometimes seriously injured.

In any case, this person has also had all the luck in the world. Or maybe not if he deliberately jumped down.

I live near the KTK hotel and also near Bangkok Pattaya hospital. Trying to get in touch with or about him through the hotel or the hospital is going too far for me!

We would like to let Dick or someone who knows him well speak, so please contact the editors.

In Thailand, loosely translated, the ground floor is called the 1st floor, which saves a meter or so.
