Dear readers,

I am flying to Bangkok soon with a stopover in Singapore with Singapore Airlines. I have now requested an RT PCR saliva test. Are there more people who have done an RT PCR saliva test to Bangkok and stopover in Singapore? Can't find anything about whether this is accepted with Singapore Airlines and arrival in Thailand.

Does anyone have an answer to this for me.

Regards,

René

    Hello Rene,

This is a normal RT-PCR test, but you do need an international certificate, so no GGD test!
We were in Singapore in Oct and that was enough, they only asked about it at Singapore airlines when checking in in A'sam. When the plane leaves Singapore you will be picked up immediately by an employee and you will receive a “strap” around your wrist. They then lock you with "guides" that you have to follow through the airport in Singapore. Nobody asks about that PCR test anymore, but again in Thailand upon arrival. It looks confusing on Singapore at first because sometimes it seems like they take you to the wrong gate, but just follow the person from the airport and everything will be fine.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention that the PCR test must be done max 48 hours before the day of departure.

“The test must be conducted within two days before the scheduled departure date of their flight. Please note that self-administered tests will not be accepted”.

What I understood from the ground flight attendant that the pcr test should not be older than 48 hours upon arrival at Singapore AirPort.

So planning the PCR test the day before you leave is best.

A small addition to the comments. If you have an rt pcr test certificate and only use Singapore Airport for transfer, you travel under VTL (vaccinated travel lane). Then you will be escorted to a waiting area until the gate to Thailand opens, after which you will be escorted back there.
Your boarding pass also has a blue stamp with which you can board without further questions.
So far my own experience with the journey via Changi airport to Koh Samui. .

The result of a pcr-rt test is also accepted by Singapore Airlines for a flight to Bangkok. I myself also flew to Bangkok with Singapore Airlines in December 2021, with a stopover in Singapore. Without any problems. The condition is that the test has not been administered more than 2 days prior to the travel date.

Yes, 2 days before departure. Ie Friday before 23.59 departure then test Wednesday. (is different from 48 hours)
