    French,

I don't see this as a threatening letter, but as a letter with conditions that you must meet.

Good that they let you know in advance and not that you will experience the consequences on the spot

Now you know what is required of you.

    Dear French,

When I asked the hotel whether you could stay in one room with several people, the answer was affirmative. Even if you weren't a couple it was ok, they didn't care as long as you signed a consent form similar to what you received. It is not a threatening letter, just a form in which you confirm that you understand the risks. Incidentally, we are expected to fill this in only upon arrival.

There are also hotels that provide this info/condition when you book a room for 2 or more people.
If you then have to sign, it is not a threatening letter, but simply agreeing to the applicable one
conditions.Applies to all hotels by the way!

I have booked Eastin Grand Sathorn, paid everything, received invoice, but not above letter.

There are more threats in the whole procedure. It already starts with the visa application. There you will be obliged to sign a form that you will not file a complaint against the persons or authorities involved, sine qua non the visa will not go through. I immediately canceled the request. Whoever signs that forsakes all his rights and cannot assert his human rights himself….

      Dear Fund,

Human rights? I hope you don't take this seriously. This form and also the visa application are not threats, they are conditions that you have to sign, as happens all over the world. If you don't agree, don't sign.

      I think you're overreacting a bit.
With this statement, the hotel van Frans ensures that Frans' company is aware of the risk of staying together in one room or 2 rooms with a connecting door during the mandatory quarantine after arrival. All members of the party who test positive for COVID-19 during quarantine must go to a separate quarantine location/hospital. The rest of the party must be quarantined in the hotel for 19 days after detection of a COVID-14 infected person.
The statement also contains some (strict) hygiene rules that people must comply with when signing: always wear a mouth mask, stay away from other people's things, keep a distance of 1 meter as much as possible, wash hands after touching face and common surfaces and immediately report COVID-19 related complaints.

I do agree with you that it goes a bit far that, in order to apply for a visa, you have to waive the right to appeal against personal information about yourself provided by other legal entities by means of the 'Declaration'.
What I really think is going too far is that race, political activities and the health record are also mentioned in that waiver. There goes your privacy.
Certainly not inviting to apply for a visa.

I'm not talking about the hotel's housekeeping rules (although…): you can also choose another hotel.
But the visa agency is a state monopoly. So you shouldn't be allowed to file a complaint against the government? That is very similar to Belarusian or North Korean situations? Do I understand that correctly: damage incurred due to the failing e-visa app cannot be recovered?
