Dear readers,

We are bringing our minor Thai granddaughter to NL for a holiday. Schengen visa has already been arranged. She travels with my wife (her grandmother) to NL.

The question is which document(s) do we need to get through Thai customs? And do they also have to be validated or something like that?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

regards

Rob

Immigration, which requires the child's own passport plus a letter signed by the mother or legal guardian, is not always requested, but I know that is a requirement. This can be obtained from the town hall. Have fun together.

    Greetings Jan.

Your wife must have a “letter of consent”. A letter of permission that she may travel with your granddaughter.

Here is an example as it appears at the Thai embassy in Brussels.

Can normally be obtained at the town hall. You might want to show the example above if they don't understand what is meant

See something similar on the website of the Thai embassy in The Hague
