Dear readers,

We have been wintering in Thailand for years. All these years, like many other Dutch people, we have taken cheese and other foods with us without thinking about whether this is allowed. Is it allowed to take these goods with you?

Regards,

ferry

Yes, but I would be more careful with fresh goods such as vegetables, bulbs, plants, flowers
This is because there is often soil attached to it, which can take diseases with it in the event of a possible relocation

I only see restrictions on tobacco, alcohol and medicines on various sites.
Furthermore, since everything revolves around food in Thailand, I can't imagine a Thai customs officer would make a comment about importing food.
The Thai does not say good morning in the morning, but have you eaten yet.
The subject has also been discussed many times on Thailand blog where no one has ever experienced any problems.
Don't forget to bring a cheese slicer.
Everything is for sale in Thailand, but a cheese slicer becomes problematic.

The cheese slicer is also available in Thailand, search Lazada app and cheese slicer and for THB 38, you are already the proud owner, judging by the price, I would take a more expensive version just to be sure.

You can also peel cucumbers quickly and easily with a cheese slicer.
Thais were amazed when they saw me do it.

I can't answer you whether it's allowed or not, but of course you can also order cheese and lots of NL products from various webshops.
eg at Dutch and German webshops. Enough choice, also cheese!

Why don't you just buy your cheese in Thailand
Dutchcheese4you has 5 types of original Gouda cheese and also old Amsterdam and ships throughout Thailand
Various cold cuts, sausages, etc. are also available in the webshop
