Dear readers,

I have some personal items in the Netherlands that I would like to bring to Thailand. It concerns a cabinet size H,2.10-W,1.50-D-0.65 and some boxes with crockery and a glass service.

Who has experience with a shared container, regarding costs and delivery time and import duties?

It's stuff from my deceased parents so I don't have purchase receipts anymore.

Regards,

Peter

Ask Windmill. You can find them on the internet. They will tell you exactly how much it will cost and how long it will take to get the goods to Thailand. Here you are going to get an auction of prices that are irrelevant.

    contact Windmill Forwarding The Hague 070 338 75 38
Have good experience with part shipment.
Everything neatly arranged in advance and no surprises afterwards.
Items are neatly brought to location in Thailand by partner Boonsma
If you are not in a hurry, they will make an attractive offer so that items can be shipped with another shipment
Stuff can possibly be stored in advance in The Hague.

Request a quote from Windmill Forwarding. Excellent service, arrange everything up to and including customs in BKK. Everything goes through shared containers.

Ask for Victor Martinez at Merzario – Rotterdam, victor at merzario dot nl or Mobile +31 (0) 651 38 10 65.
But clearing moving goods in Bangkok is a completely different (customs) game.

Make sure you make a “Door to Door” contract that includes customs clearance in Thailand... otherwise you will have to deal with the corruption here...

Does Windmill also work in the opposite direction, for example from Pattaya / Jomtien to Antwerp Belgium?

The journey may take quite a while, as it concerns a repatriation, I expect with the current economic climate there will be little interest in selling condo contents.

I have completely furnished the condo with decent materials, and would have to buy everything back in Belgium, so I might as well ship it if necessary, just leaving it here is a complete loss!

This is still in planning stage, but information is needed for this.
