Dear readers,

Where is the air quality best in Thailand? I'm looking for values lower than 40 AQI (Air Quality Index). Even Koh Chang already gives 88.
Surat Thani 74. Is the environment of Phuket (46) better than that of Koh Samui (no value)? Satun 25 southernmost point of Thailand seems best to me?

I ask this because I have very sensitive airways and want to rise to the best places (17/1 – 7/2/20)

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

French

    Hi French,

Download the app air4thai and you can see where the air is best every hour.
South Thailand (from Surat Thani) is now the best.

    Good luck and regards Antony

weird that your app for Surat Thani now gives 21 and http://www.agicn.org/map 78 ? What is reliable?

For air quality, check out the link below, where every moment and noteworthy city is visible.
You can enter the name of a city as you wish.

    Hello French
This period is bad for people with sensitive airways. The sugar harvest has started and everyone is burning his land again. PM 2.5 shoots up like an arrow

In the middle of the Thailand bay between Pattaya, hua he, sattahip and Bangkok

Those values of Koh Chang amaze me. Now I lived alternately in Amsterdam and there, but the air quality is so infinitely better there... That way I don't have to blow my nose, my airways don't bother me, etc.
In the province of Trat there is little or no industry or other air-polluting agricultural activity: the majority, just like Chantaburi province, is fruit cultivation and water culture (shrimp).

Admittedly, on the island of Koh Kood the water was the cleanest, the air the least polluted ….. but then only 1500 people live there, with little tourism, far away from everything.
    Maybe that's something for you?
