Reader question: Renew Thai driver's license in Pattaya
Dear readers,
I would like to know if the office is open for renewal of driving licenses in Pattaya near the International Regent school? Have there been any changes recently regarding renewal of driving license?
I have to renew my driving license for the 4th time next week. What papers do you need? I have a yellow house book and a pink Thai ID card.
Regards,
Eddy
Was on site last week. Unfortunately.
Following a video presentation on site is mandatory for Farangs. Not possible now due to Covid. Ergo also no renewal of driver's license. Not until lockdown is lifted.
Your original passport, yellow book and doctor's certificate that you are competent to drive a vehicle; you can get this in any hospital at a price of 50 to 100 Thb… very simple, nurse measures the blood pressure and asks if you feel well. The doctor (whom you will not see) signs the paper and you are then all set. My pink Thai ID card was not even looked at. Furthermore, I am not aware of the situation in Pattaya.
Hai,
Try in Bangkok, SIAM LEGal lawyers can indicate the route. These are complicated times.
are needed,
– copy of passport, pages with personal data, current visa.
– copy, front and back, current driving license(s) The original driving license must be shown
– Certificate of Residence or, if applicable, a copy of your work permit.
– a medical certificate is NOT required for a 4th renewal.
– in the LTO in Chonburi, at the Regent school, do NOT accept the yellow book / pink Thai ID!
You need to get a Residence Letter from the Immigration office at Jomtien Soi 5.
If you are going for motorcycle and car, then submit all papers in duplicate.
All reliable information can also be read on the page of the PCEC,

Ps whether or not the DLT / LTO is currently open for driving license renewal is best to call.
