Dear readers,

I am in possession of a Retirement visa and can I then travel into Thailand with a one-way ticket. Since I can't fill in the departure card because I can't fill in a return date?

Thanks for the response

Regards,

Johan

Not a problem. Do not enter a date on your card. Immigration puts one stamp when you have to leave or get one stamp for 90 days.

You do not have to fill in the Departure card until you leave. You can fill it in with your name, etc.

There will be a stamp with the date of entry into Thailand.
Then keep it safe in your passport.

If you lose it: no disaster, the date of entry is of course also in your passport and you fill in a new one when you leave.

ALWAYS make a copy and send it as a scan to your hotmail and gmail account

Just go, you have a valid visa and a return is not necessary. Complete the arrival/departure card as far as possible, only leave your outgoing flight empty. Good luck and have a good stay there.

Apparently you are coming to Thailand on your “Retirement Visa” for the first time.
That would be new then, I think you mean you have a Visa OA.

    Well,

What do you think of everyone who lives in Thailand and comes back from a foreign trip, they all have no date for their next trip, in their departure card.

No problem with a valid Visa to travel with a one-way ticket and enter the country. The departure card does not have to be filled in, you only do that when you leave Thailand, to look somewhere else, or possibly to visit the home country or something like that. So keep your departure card safe!

Incidentally, a one-way ticket is not always the cheapest flight. Offers are usually round-trip and often cheaper than a one-way ticket.
