Dear readers,

Restaurants are allowed to reopen in Thailand and therefore also in Pattaya, but hardly any restaurants are open! In addition to the alcohol ban, the safety regulations and the small number of tourists, there is also a lack of clarity about those safety regulations. Some operators even adhere to the strict rule of one customer per table, which would even be officially mandatory. Other operators do allow more customers at one table!

What is it now?

Greetings,

Michel

I fear that tourism business aimed at Western tourists will be minimized.
It is no secret that the governments of recent years have not been waiting for middle class and lower-class travelers from the West to help create the image of a whore country.
The fact that they have different rules for themselves is of course different…..

It is rather the other way around, Thailand has had its best time for a nice beach holiday you better go to the Dominican Republic, and for value for money to just about all other countries because of the high baht exchange rate. The middle class in Europe has seen Thailand in the meantime.

Only the young people on a backpacking trip and the pensioners still come here. Henk, Truus and the 2 kids have not been coming for years.

In Chiang Mai they have become a little more flexible.
In the restaurants in the shopping malls (Central Festival), only 1 person per table was initially allowed. Since this week, two people are allowed at 1 table.

    Goodbye,
